Graduate and professional education is the most critical part of that effort. This series was created by the Office of the Provost to illustrate the value of graduate and professional education and to show the many ways in which it is being transformed at Pitt.

Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Program (PUMP)
PUMP

Throughout its twelve year history PUMP has established itself as a community leader through important collaborations with projects like New Trustees for a New Pittsburgh which connects young professionals to nonprofit boards. Many of the region's foundations have invested in PUMP programming, recognizing the organization's important role.

Today, PUMP engages thousands throughout the region and is proud to be the premier voice for the young and young thinking.

 

Pittsburgh Sports League

The Pittsburgh Sports League is the premier provider of adult recreational sports in the Pittsburgh region. Play co-ed sports with the PSL! We offer the following sports:

Pitt Arts
Pitt Arts

Pitt Arts provides students with the Cheap Seats program (deeply discounted tickets to art and cultural events in Pittsburgh), Free Museum Visits (free admission to many Pittsburgh museums using your Student ID) and serves as a resource for cultural events throughout the city.

 

 

Student Life

This site serves as the hub for student life at Pitt, highlighting the many opportunities available outside of the classroom for students to enhance and complement their academic pursuits.

 

Pitt Program Council

Pitt Program Council

 

As the central programming organization on campus, the student-run program council plans and a wide variety of entertainment, recreational, social, and educational activities on the Pitt campus. While program council events generally target undergraduates, their events are open to all Pitt students.

 

 

 

Get Inolved with the Pitt Community

SORC

The SORC certifies student organizations to officially operate on campus. SORC services include copy, fax and mail service, administration of student budgets, email and web space, public notary, emergency student loans, flowers by pedal pushers, and snack machine rentals.

Intramurals and Recreation

This site provides information on sports and intramural activities offered at Pitt.

William Pitt Union

As Pitt's student union, WPU houses the offices for most student organizations, the ticket office, and room reservations for student clubs. GPSA is located in the WPU in room 825.

Student Government Board (SGB)

The representative body of the non-CGS undergraduate student body at the University of Pittsburgh.

College of General Students (CGS)

CGS provides services to non-traditional students pursuing an undergraduate degree. For adults returning to learn or new learners seeking noncredit programs, CGS helps students find an educational solution tailored to fit their needs.
